It is extremely encouraging to experience our neighbourhoods gather to eat together.
Neighbourhood Life creates a variety of community events to bring us all together. We have seen impromptu dancing, impersonations, musical presentations, surprises, prayers, protests, public presentations, and the list goes on. But the most significant feature that threads through these all is the gracious and pleasant comments about how good it was to gather and eat together. For example, some have come to understand the power of breaking bread with their neighbours through Neighbourhood Life events. The beauty in these events is that many neighbourhoods have now created a social platform on which they can build. Some understand a Neighbourhood Life event as the beginning of what Jesus highlighted – “love your neighbour.”
Neighbourhood Life is closing in on 200 block parties since beginning in 2013.
